Keith’s basic recipe

2 eggs (beaten)
1 small onion(chopped)
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons self-raising flour (approx)
3 potatoes (grated)
Oil for frying


  1. Fry the onion lightly until soft and translucent
  2. Mix all ingredients in a bowl
  3. Add pepper and chillies if in Bradford
  4. Heat oil in (shallow) frying pan
  5. Drop spoonfuls of mixture in pan and fry until brown on both sides
  6. Enjoy!

Bradford variation

1 red pepper (chopped)
2 fresh chillies (chopped)
